On June 15, 2025, students from Constantin Brancoveanu Vasilati Secondary School participated in their first robotics competition in the World Robot Olympiad (WRO) series — an experience they won't soon forget.

For most of the children, it was their first time stepping into a „real” robotics competition, held at a national level, among dozens of teams from all over the country. It was a mix of emotions, joy, hope, and even tears, but all of it was part of a truly special day.

teams Vasilați Lions, Vasilați Dolphins and Vasilați Tigers They gave their best, trying to put into practice everything they learned during the months of preparation. They worked with passion, supported their colleagues and demonstrated that true success does not lie only in the result, but in the courage to try and move forward.

Regardless of the results, this day was about courage, discovery, and the joy of being part of a team.
The children returned home tired but happy, with a new experience and a clear desire to continue learning and building.

We thank everyone who was there for them — the coach, parents, and partners — for the trust and support they provided throughout this adventure.

The competition was organized by the Educational Robotics and Science Association WRO, in collaboration with POLITEHNICA University of Bucharest, and offered children the chance to better understand how an official competition is conducted, what it means to respect the rules, adapt to pressure and, above all, the joy of being part of a community passionate about science and technology.
