Between June 29 and July 2, the team Sensor ON from the robotics club Inventika Place from Bucharest, represented Romania at the FIRST LEGO League Asia Pacific Open Championship, a competition held in Sydney, Australia.

It was an extraordinary experience, lived among the members of the over 50 teams from all over the world, such as Japan, Brazil, the United States, Korea, Mexico and many other countries. There was, of course, no shortage of teams from Australia.

The competition was intense, full of emotion and discovery. From the first tests on the playing field to the interviews with the jury, the children demonstrated perseverance, creativity and team spirit. Each round brought something new, a better strategy, clearer communication, a deeper understanding of what it means to compete at the highest level.

Sensor ON ultimately ranked 15th, a commendable result in a context of global performance, but beyond the ranking, the real success was the human experience: new friends, cultural exchanges, and the feeling of being part of a global community of robotics enthusiasts.

It wasn't the team's first participation. Sensor ON at an international competition but it was the first project supported by the newly established Association ARTESA, a landmark moment for our mission: to support STEAM education, to offer children real opportunities for development, and to build bridges between dreams and achievements.

Thank you to the team members Sensor ON for the enthusiasm and seriousness they showed, to the mentors for their guidance, to the parents for their constant support, and to all the partners who made this participation possible!
