Robotics workshops have started at the Mitreni School

After the presentation stage and demo classes in recent weeks, today the robotics workshops within the RuralBots Academy Mitreni at Secondary School No. 2 in Mitreni actually began.
The children got straight into the normal rhythm of the program. The work is done in small teams, as the entire RuralBots Initiative concept is designed to allow each child to have real time to work, ask questions, and receive applied explanations.
The program will run at least until the end of the school year and offers them free access to robotics and programming workshops.
The reactions were exactly as anticipated: concentration, questions upon questions, the desire to try again when something doesn't work the first time.
By the end of the day, we've already received messages from parents saying that the discussions at home continued long after school ended, with the kids explaining how the engine works, what they programmed, or how eager they are to come to the next workshop. It's certainly the most honest indicator that the start was a good one.
At this stage, the lab is operating by sharing kits and tablets from the Vasilați lab. The solution allowed us to start without delay, but for the Mitreni lab to become fully independent and stable in the long term, the involvement of partners will be needed.
Today was just the first day at Mitreni, but for the children who went home telling stories about what they built and what they programmed, it was the beginning of something new.
For them, it's no longer about "what could be done to change their lives for the better," but about what they're doing right now, in the benches, with their robotics kits in front of them.
