The teams from Vasilați return to the FIRST LEGO League Explore National Festival
The FIRST LEGO League Explore National Festival has ended, and the members of the Vasilați Tigers and Vasilați Lions teams from Constantin Brancoveanu Vasilati Secondary School They return home with a joy they fully deserve: both teams won the Team Model Award.
It was a long day. A day with a lot of excitement, with emotions before the presentations, with moments of waiting and with a lot of energy consumed. At the end of it, however, the fatigue disappeared as if by magic when the children saw that their work was understood and appreciated.
The Team Model Award recognizes the way teams built and presented their LEGO model. The idea behind it, the way the elements are integrated, and how the entire project tells a coherent story.
Behind these models are many hours of work in the workshops: pieces moved dozens of times until things started to make sense, ideas discussed and rethought, solutions tried, abandoned and then resumed from a different perspective. The children learned to build, test, modify and explain why they chose a certain option.
One interesting thing is that the two teams worked completely separately and came up with different solutions to the same challenge. This is exactly what shows how such projects work: the same problem can have multiple good answers, and each team builds its own path.
Today's results actually say something very simple: performance does not depend on where children are born, but on the opportunities that adults choose to give them. When these opportunities arise, curiosity, imagination, and a desire to learn quickly find their place.
Congratulations Vasilați Tigers and Vasilați Lions for the work, ideas and emotions experienced today! It was a long day, but one that was worth savoring to the end!
